Britain’s Got Talent is known for its many young contestants shocking viewers with their exceptional talent and Robbie Firmin was no different.
The youngster was part of the fifth series of the competition when he was only seven years old.
He wowed the crowd when we walked up on stage wearing a pinstriped suit and a suave hat around a decade ago.
Much to the surprise of the judges, which included Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and Louis Walsh, he sang Frank Sinatra’s My Way.
He wanted to win BGT as a birthday present to his mum, telling the judges: “It’s my mum’s birthday soon and I want to give her the best present ever.”
Unfortunately, he was eliminated after the second round.
After his performance, Louis had told him: “That’s fantastic. I’ve never heard anybody so young sing that.”
Michael added: “You toyed with the audience, they were up, they were down, they were swaying. You’re a star.”
The singer is now 18 years old and still loves belting out tunes and has joined the Time to Shine Agency.
He regularly attends film and TV workshops.
Robbie is experienced in theatre and even landed roles in Fashion Festival, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
He was also part of Peter Pan with Spotlites Theatre.
In 2017, Robbie was on a cruise where he travelled the world to perform for the guests.
He’s had small roles in hit shows like Small Axe where he played a schoolboy.
Some BGT viewers may have spotted him in a BT Broadband commercial where he appeared, yet again, as a schoolboy.
The 2011 series he was in was won by singer Jai McDowall, with singer Ronan Parke finishing in second place
The singer isn’t really one to update on social media as he doesn’t have Instagram and last updated his Twitter in 2019.
