13-year-old pianist Lucy performed a Chopin Nocturne on a public piano at Leeds Train Station as part of Channel 4’s brand-new TV show
The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, features amateur piano players from across the UK performing on public pianos in various railway stations. But what the pianists don’t know is that they are being secretly watched by two stars: Singer-songwriter Mika and classical pianist Lang Lang.
As Lucy played her way through Chopin’s Nocturne in B flat minor, both Mika and Lang Lang were left stunned, with neither uttering a single word during her performance.
“I’m speechless, I don’t know what to say. I really don’t know what to say,” Lang Lang said afterwards.
Lucy appeared in a short documentary for The Amber’s Trust back in 2020. Take a look at her amazing story below!
