Who Is Leo P?

Leo Pellegrino is more commonly known as “Leo P” a baritone saxophonist who showcases infectious dance moves whilst he plays. In 2017, Leo was invited by the BBC to perform his high-energy sax solos at the Proms.

This is Leo Pellegrino who is more commonly known as “Leo P” a former member of Lucky Chops and a baritone saxophonist who showcases high-energy moves whilst he plays. Seen in the video below showcasing his unique performance style at the BBC Proms in 2017, a performance the audience will never forget.

He is based in New York, USA, but has played all over the world as a solo act and in multiple bands. Rocking up in a snazzy red suit, he began performing solo, with just a drumbeat in the background entertaining the crowd with the plethora of different notes and sound effects that he produces with his baritone sax. He was joined by the Metropole Orkest toward the end of his riveting performance for a massive finale which ended a special musical experience.

Too Many Zooz” is Leo’s current band, a trio that makes what they describe as “Brass House Music”. The band was featured on Beyoncé Knowles’s 2016 album Lemonade and they also performed alongside her at the 2016 Country Music Association Awards during the song “Daddy Lessons”.

Leo P has performed solo on many occasions including his performance at the BBC Proms and this one below at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, an absolutely stunning venue. As always, he gets the crowd pumped and stunned by his performance.

The saxophonist attended and graduated from Manhattan School of Music in 2013. He has been a member of Lucky Chops, a popular NYC band who made their name performing in the subway. Leo later left Lucky Chops to focus on his other band called Too Many Zooz.

Leo P played a large role in Lucky Chop’s rise to fame. The band still perform their wonderful high energy brass music which continues to be a massive success around the world. Below is a video from 2015 of a wonderful performance in the NYC subway, before Leo P left the band.
