WE CAN’T STOP LISTENING TO THIS ADORABLE 7-YEAR-OLD FILIPINO KID SINGING BEE GEES SONGS

I’ve done a lot of posts about the various talent franchises such as The Voice and Got Talent. Both also have a kids version where kids in countries around the world vie for prizes and attention. Well here’s a young boy who deserves every prize and bit of attention that he gets.

Angelico “Echo” Claridad is only eight years old, but you would never know it listening to his voice. Even though he’s not even singing in his native language, he gains immediate approval from the judges when he launches into “Too Much Heaven,” a 1978 from supergroup The Bee Gees.

The Bee Gees, which takes their name from the “Brothers Gibb”–Barry, Robin and Maurice–became one of the top selling acts in the world when their songs from the disco movie sensation Saturday Night Fever swept the world in the mid- to late-1970s.

Here little Echo’s young voice is perfect to imitate the falsetto the Gibbs were famous for and it’s obviously a smart decision: he gets instant chair-turns from the judges. Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!

In the world of talent shows, it doesn’t take long for a judge to recognize a star.

This was the case with eight-year-old Angelico “Echo” Claridad, a small boy with a voice that could stir souls.

His blind audition on The Voice Kids has captivated audiences worldwide, amassing over 40 million views.

Echo, hailing from the City of Bacolod in the Philippines, knew the importance of standing out in reality shows like The Voice.

He understood that to captivate the judges and the audience, he needed to deliver a performance that was both unique and heartfelt.

As he took center stage, the judges had no inkling of the extraordinary performance that was about to unfold.

As Echo began to sing, musician Lea Salonga was immediately taken aback, exclaiming, “whoa, hello” from her seat.

It was clear that she was captivated by what she was hearing.

After Echo sang the first few lines, there was no doubt about his exceptional talent.

Salonga hit her red button without hesitation, and fellow artist, Sarah Geronimo, quickly followed suit.

The judges were then introduced to the young talent behind the voice.

As Salonga continued to listen to Echo’s melodious voice, she couldn’t help but express her admiration, “Oh, I love you already!”

With two coaches turning their chairs, Echo had already secured his place in the next round.

But would he be able to get the last judge to turn as well?

Echo then delivered a spine-tingling rendition of “Too Much Heaven,” a 1978 hit by the Bee Gees.

As Echo sang, it was hard not to be moved.

His voice carried the emotion and depth of the song, creating a performance that was both touching and powerful.

Echo’s musical prowess continued to shine as he sang.

At one point, he hit a high note so beautifully that the last coach, Bamboo Manalac, could no longer resist and hit his button too.

Echo had managed to impress the entire panel, a feat not often achieved.

In the end, Echo had the privilege of choosing his coach, and he chose Lea Salonga.

Seven-year-old Angelico “Echo” Claridad became an unlikely star in late March after astounding Asia’s Got Talent judges with his remarkable performance of the Bee Gees’ “Too Much Heaven.”

Echo had a minor degree of Internet fame prior to his TV appearance, on his dad’s YouTube channel.

Echo appears in several videos, usually singing Bee Gees tunes with his dad—and it’s pretty much the sweetest, cutest thing ever.

If the kid sounds this great at age seven (he’s even younger in many of the videos on the You Tube channel), then he’s seriously going places. This kid rules!

Here’s Echo doing “More Than a Woman” with his dad:

And here he is singing “Emotion,” the Samantha Sang tune, penned by the Brothers Gibb:

And here’s the performance that made him famous overseas on ‘Asia’s Got Talent.’ It’s little Echo wowing the judges with the Bee Gee’s “Too Much Heaven”:
