Aussie father and daughter duo Caitlin and Tim Rizzoli had their coach on The Voice in tears as they sang “Say Something” by A Great Big World. Coach Rita Ora teared up as they workshopped their vocals for the song, which showcases their special connection so beautifully.

Tim and Caitlin are both powerhouse singers, with Tim’s bold voice complementing Caitlin’s smoother tone so perfectly. After the duo perfected “Say Something”, Rita had to compose herself for a second, then said “that was amazing. I had goosebumps. It’s just so nice to see.” As you can see in the video below, she said her reaction to the song was so strong because she misses her dad so much, commenting “I haven’t been home for a while and it really made me feel like my dad was right there.”

Rita also said to Caitlin and Tim that “it’s so nice to have this memory. You guys are going to be able to watch this forever. This is going to be an amazing, epic dad and daughter duet.” The Melbourne duo’s initial audition on Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” really blew the judges away as well.

Tim, who was 52 at the time, really nailed the opening verse with his classic country style vocals, while Caitlin, 23, brought the firepower with her dramatic pop and R&B vibe. As you can see in the clip below, by the time the pair sang in duet for the chorus, all four judges had turned their chairs and the energy in the room was electric. It was immediately clear something special was happening.

Caitlin and Tim absolutely demolished the competition in The Voice Generations competition last year across their three performances, eventually winning the entire competition. Judge Guy Sebastian immediately recognized the huge talent on display during their audition, commenting “It’s pretty special what we just witnessed. You guys are at the level where you could win this. It’s gonna be a very lucky coach who gets you guys.” If you would like to see more from Caitlin Rizzoli, you can subscribe to her YouTube channel.
