Barbra Streisand is an icon in the world of entertainment, and very deservedly so. Since her early 20s, this legend has been wowing crowds with her confidence and her beautiful, eerily resonant voice.

Over the years, she’s been a pop star, a movie musical star and an award-winning actress. Now in her 70s, Streisand has continued to make exciting new music like this stunning version of Somewhere, which she sang with Josh Groban back in 2014.

In fact, Josh Groban had worked with Barbra Streisand before, as Streisand and Groban detail in a video interview. The first time they sang together, he was only 19 years old. He was largely unknown and still just a college student majoring in musical theater. But producer David Foster believed in his talent very strongly. In fact, he’d pulled Groban in as a substitute for the world-renowned Andrea Bocelli. That was more the caliber of performer the legendary Barbra Streisand performed with.

But when they entered the studio, Barbra Streisand was wowed by teen Josh Groban’s performance. That’s one reason she was so excited to collaborate with him on Somewhere. Lucky for her, Groban has remained a fan of hers, too. And in fact, she selected the perfect song to bring him onto the project with. Josh Groban has long been on the record as loving the musical West Side Story. So of all the songs to approach him with, this one was perfect. The completed project sounds amazing. The tone color of their voices just works so well together. This is a performance that everyone should really see.
