In 2016, Rikard Holst married his now-wife Sofia in a beautiful church ceremony. The two had all the makings of a perfect wedding – a gorgeous church, live music, and smiles that spread across their faces. Still, Rikard had a little something up his sleeve.

Sofia and Rikard stand together looking lovingly at each other as musicians begin to play “You Raise Me Up”. The two are soaking up the sounds before the soloist comes in to make the number even more beautiful.

Then, just when you think it can’t get any better, Rikard releases his bride’s hand and picks up a trombone. He warms it up a little bit before busting out an amazing solo that leaves everyone in awe of his talent – especially his adoring wife.

Guests, fellow musicians, and the wedding party look on at Rikard and smile as he continues to blow everyone away with his contribution to the gorgeous song. In fact, their flower girl can’t even bear to sit still in her seat and quickly gets up to dance beside Sofia as Rikard brings the house down.

By the end of the song, the entire audience is cheering and Sofia has (somehow) an even bigger smile on her face than she did before. She leans in to kiss her new husband – probably thinking of all the serenades she’s going to get over the course of their lifetime together.
