Harry Styles and Kacey Musgraves made for the sweetest pair on “You’re Still The One” live at the former’s show at Madison Square Garden. On the second of two nights at the venue, Styles invited Musgraves to sing a duet on the Shania Twain cover, and their voices sounded so beautiful together. Fans also loved how they looked into each other’s eyes as they sang, giving a romantic vibe to the performance.

Before launching into the song, Styles said, “We’re gonna sing one of my personal favourites.” The pop star played the acoustic guitar while Musgraves sang the opening verse, and then the real magic happened when they sang the chorus together. Styles covered the second verse, and there was a truly stunning moment at the end when the pair joined their voices to sing a cappella in the final section.

The video was a hit online, with 5.3 million listeners tuning in on YouTube. Many fans noted the chemistry onstage between Styles and Musgraves, and added appreciative comments such as, “These covers aren’t just covers, he’s singing with all his heart and everything he has. Covers like these made me love him” and “Don’t get me wrong, I love Harry Styles and all his music, but when he does covers like these, they make me appreciate him more.”

Musgraves opened Styles’ show at Madison Square Garden on June 22, 2018, and then the One Direction alumnus brought her onstage during his set for a duet. Now, with so much chemistry going on, you’re probably wondering, did Musgraves and Styles ever date? The answer to that is no, they’ve never had a romantic connection. Styles loves to add Shania Twain songs to his set. At the Coachella Festival in Indio, California in 2022, he performed “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” with Shania Twain herself!

Styles has gone on record with Entertainment Tonight about his love for Twain, saying, “I think both my music and fashion main influence was probably Shania Twain. I think she’s amazing.”

Musgraves is also a big Twain fan, telling Billboard that “Growing up in East Texas, some of my other all-time favorites were Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack, and Jo Dee Messina – women who nailed that late ‘90s, early 2000s pop-country sound and greatly helped shape my musical sensibilities.”
