Seniors Dream Chorus, an incredibly talented Seniors singing group, performs an uplifting version of ‘What A Wonderful World.’

This song was performed live at the 2024 Next Generation Barbershop Junior Chorus Festival presented by the Barbershop Harmony Society in January 2024 in New York City.

The Seniors singing group consists of two women and 14 men who harmonize beautifully together.

‘What a Wonderful World’ was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967. While the song gained popularity in the UK, it didn’t in the United States. However, the song was reissued as a single in 1988 after it was heard in the film Good Morning, Vietnam.

The lyrics begin with:

“I see trees of green

Red roses too

I see them bloom

For me and you”

And eventually lead into “What a wonderful world…”

Beautiful Rendition Of ‘What A Wonderful World’

The song is about how there are so many good things to focus on in the world. There is so much color and beauty, from the trees to the rainbows. It can remind us about God’s creation and all he has made for us to enjoy here on earth.

In daily life, we can get so focused on the negative, but if we take the time to look around and see what is out there, we can truly see the beauty in the world and enjoy it.

‘What a Wonderful World’ is a beautiful choice as a piece for this Seniors singing group to perform live. Many people in the audience would be familiar with the song, and it flows effortlessly, using different harmonies.
