Taylor Swift told fans during her Saturday night show at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium that she, her band, and dancers will remember the concert “for the rest of our lives”.

The superstar was in awe of the standing ovation at the end of her song Champagne Problems, when fans cheered for over three minutes.

“We’re trying to be prepared, but we’re not prepared for the level that you’re on, Dublin,” Swift said.

“I swear, we’re going to try our hardest for you guys to entertain you, because, my God, what you just did for us we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. We love you so much.”

After a rainy day, the sun found its way onto the guest list by Saturday evening as the fans tried to outdo the audience from Friday night’s opening show.

Swift told the crowd she was “so happy to see old pals and also excited to meet new ones”.

After his cúpla focal on Friday, dancer Kam Saunders again endeared himself to the Irish faithful – this time by shouting “The neck of ye!” mid-song.

Swift’s set took in the albums LoverFearlessRedSpeak NowReputationFolklore/Evermore1989, her new record, The Tortured Poets Department; a surprise medley of The Albatross with Dancing With Our Hands Tied and This Love with Ours, and closed with her 2022 collection Midnights – the crowd still hoping that she would play until round about that time.

Attention now turns to the final date of Swift’s weekend Dublin run on Sunday, with all knowing all too well that the pressure is on to make it the best show of the three.
