Ed Sheeran Sends Heartwarming Message To Teenage Fan Who Used The Pop Star’s Music As Therapy

Pop star Ed Sheeran has sent a heartwarming message to an Australian super fan who used the English signer-songwriter’s music as therapy while he battled cancer.

Now 15, Harry Hunter suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when he was nine, and Ed’s songs gave him hope while he spent long months in hospital.

Touched by Harry’s devotion, the 31-year-old British singer sent a video message this week celebrating the Gold Coast teen’s recovery, reported Nine News.

‘Hey Harry, Ed Sheeran here,’ the Bad Habits hitmaker says in the short video clip.

‘I heard you were a fan of my music so I wanted to make a video for you.’

The heavily tattooed English musician can be seen seated on a green couch, dressed in black t-shirt and jogging bottoms, as well as wearing rainbow coloured sneakers.

‘Thank you for being a great fan and lots of love’ the Shape of You singer added.

Harry responded to the message by saying it left him speechless, revealing, ‘It was quite surreal.’

The report explained that it was Harry’s mother, Tash, who wrote to Ed to thank him for his music.

At the critical stage of the disease, Harry had to learn walk again and spent 15 months in a wheelchair.

He also spent many months bedridden in hospital while undergoing treatment.

It was during this time that the young music fan arranged Ed Sheeran sing-a-longs with the nurses in Queensland Children’s Hospital.
