She was born on December 21st 1971, as the youngest of five children and was brought up in Lynnwood, a town just outside Seattle. When she graduated from high school, she enrolled at Northwest College in Kirkland to become an elementary school teacher.

In the years since she left Benson, she married Bernie Harms, a Canadian music producer, who helped produce her next album Stronger.
She chose much of the material herself and even co-wrote four new songs. Three more albums followed Stronger, Deeper in 2003, Natalie Grant and Friends in 2004 and Awaken in 2005.
Recognition by the music industry is growing. She has been nominated for a Grammy eight times and won a GMA Dove award six times. She has now released ten studio albums and shows no signs of slowing down. She also found time to write a book called The Real Me in 2005, which discussed her struggles with bulimia and how she overcame it. She has toured both alone and with artist MercyMe.
Natalie still lives in Nashville with Bernie, and the couple has been blessed with three daughters. Grace and Isabella were born in 2007 and Sadie in 2010. Her net worth is estimated online between $13 and 20 million dollars, illustrating just how successful her career has been.
