THE Britain’s Got Talent judges were gobsmacked by karate kid Jesse-Jane McParland’s audition, but she doesn’t really need them to get famous. It has emerged that the nine-year-old martial arts lover is already a Hollywood star.
Jesse-Jane’s mum Sinéad McParland has revealed that her daughter is due to star in a film with High School Musical heartthrob Zac Efron after impressing in The Martial Arts Kid alongside kickboxing legend Don “The Dragon” Wilson.
Sinéad said: “She got flown over to Hollywood for the Martial Arts Kid with big names in the sport.
“She’s just been picked now for another one set in Ireland called Awakening, starring Zac Efron. It’s being shot in July.
“And she’s set to be in another one produced by a US company, which we don’t have the name for yet.”
Makes the BGT semi-finals seem a bit lacklustre in comparison. The Northern Irish schoolgirl gained four yeses from her surprising audition aired on last night’s Britain’s Got Talent, but that was far from Jesse’s first telly appearance. The adorable fighter was watched by 1.4 million viewers when she appeared on Ireland’s The Late Late Toy Show last November – the most watched show of 2014 in Ireland.
Jesse’s mum admitted that her daughter could be a superstar, saying: “She’d love to be like Jackie Chan – we’re getting a lot of approaches about her. But she’s still very humble.
“We’d love her to earn millions one day from being a big movie star. As long as it’s what she wanted and that she’d look after her sisters with money.”
Jesse is well known in the martial arts circuit, having won a whopping 117 titles and being named World Martial Arts Games European champion nine times. Just nine years old this little girl totally proved that big surprises come in small packages. Jessie’s goal is to take part in the Olympics one day. Well if she continues this way she will surely accomplish her goal very soon.
