What happens when two amazing artists collaborate on a duet?

Ed Sheeran released a track of his hit  ‘Perfect’ from his album “÷ (Divide)” except now it’s got the voice of Beyoncé Knowles, blending in.

In an interview, Ed Sheeran shares how the collaboration came about.

“I have an email address I email [to get in touch with Beyonce],” Sheeran revealed, adding that the singer’s email address “actually changes every week.” “So I emailed that and we got on the phone, and it’s been in the works since May.Obviously she had twins [in June], and we finished [the song] in September, so I’ve been holding onto it since then,” Sheeran shares with Entertainment Tonight‘s Keltie Knight.

According to Billboard, the duet is now ranked No. 3 in Billboard’s Hot 100 this week.

You can also listen to the song on YouTube.

This amazing Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé song is called “Perfect Duet” and, like, we’re pretty sure it’s just that…perfect. We also just retroactively want to go and hang out with Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé while they were making this, because that just seems like the most fun pair of people to hang with, let’s be real.

If you think “Perfect” sounds familiar, you’re right.

Ed Sheeran & Beyonce's 'Perfect Duet': He Details How She Changed the Song | Billboard

It was first released on Ed Sheeran’s Divide album — and now, we have a version with Queen Bey herself. We have to imagine the conversation that lead to this was basically Beyoncé going up to Ed Sheeran at one of those cool famous people parties and saying, “let me upgrade u.” And we love the OG version — don’t get us wrong — but this version is ah-mazing.

The ~new and improved~ track is currently available on Spotify and TIDAL.

So no matter what music streaming service you favor, you should be set. And if you’re looking for some inspiration to get through your Friday (and beyond-cé), you definitely want to give this song a listen. In addition to coming from two of everybody’s all time fav artists, it’s also just…a really good song. Like, really good.

We’ve added “watch Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé perform a duet together live and in person” to our bucket list, and the existence of this track makes us feel like we’re one step closer to achieving it. Keep the collaborations coming, please and thank you.
