Who Are Wiener Cello Ensemble 5+1?

Wiener Cello Ensemble 5+1 is a six-piece classical music group consisting of five men and one woman. The group are all members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, an orchestra considered to be one of the finest in the world.

Located in Musikverein in Vienna, Austria, the Vienna Philharmonic has been highly regarded as one of the best orchestras on the planet. The members are chosen from the Vienna State Opera and each selection involves a lengthy vetting process and requires members to have demonstrated a minimum of three years’ performance for the opera and ballet. This process results in only the most experienced and gifted musicians making the cut.
