American classical crossover singer Jackie Evancho is probably best known for her appearance on season five of America’s Got Talent.  Jackie was only ten years old when she won second place in the competition.  Even though she was crushed that she didn’t win first place, the Pittsburgh native wouldn’t let the loss keep her down.

Since 2009, Jackie has released platinum and gold albums, had three songs debut in the top ten of the Billboard 200, and released three solo PBS specials. She is known around the world for her gorgeous, booming voice and tremendous stage presence and maturity.

The young artist has even sung for presidents and other world leaders, as well as recorded duets with legendary artists like Tony Bennett and Barbara Streisand.  All this accomplished already, and she’s only eighteen! Once again, Jackie Evancho’s is stepping back onto the AGT stage. However, this time it’s to compete for the ultimate title of “AGT Champion.”

America’s Got Talent: Champions is a spin-off of AGT that features ten of the most memorable or fan-favorite contestants/acts from the many “Got Talent” competitions from around the world.  The panel of judges includes Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

In an interview, former “See & Be Seen” correspondent Jessica Fera reminisces about her first impressions of Jackie back in 2010:

“People were so blown away by this huge, amazing voice coming from a 10-year-old, that some questioned if her voice was for real.  I’ll never forget hearing her sing acapella for us during her first on-camera interview at the WPXI studios.  Everyone in the studio was left speechless, and the newsroom was buzzing.  Her voice was real, and it was incredible!”

When asked if she thought Jackie would make it through AGT: Champions, Fera responded: “Absolutely.  Jackie is already a champion for so many reasons, and I can’t wait to see her back on the AGT stage.  She captivated everyone in 2010, and now nine years later, she comes armed with so much experience, platinum-selling albums and Billboard hits.  She should be very tough to beat!”

Jackie’s hometown of Pittsburgh holds some of her biggest supporters and fans.  Will you be cheering Jackie on, too, as she takes the AGT stage again?  Don’t miss America’s Got Talent:  Champions tonight at 8:00 p.m. on Channel 11.
