There are some musical acts that leave you feeling ho-hum. Then there’s the Detroit Youth Choir.

The DYC first hit our television screens when they came in second on season 14 of “America’s Got Talent.” Lead by inspirational music director Anthony White, the group takes inner city kids who don’t always have the best home lives and gives them a new purpose.

The team came very close to winning the competition, so when they were invited to participate in “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars,” they jumped at the opportunity. This time, they put on a jaw-dropping, high-energy performance of “Thunder,” and it was as original as it was extraordinary!

When they finished, Simon Cowell admitted he was “actually speechless.”

“I mean seriously speechless,” he said. “This was just magic. Absolute creative magic. It’s one of the best things, I’m actually quite emotional.”

“Some choirs can be a little on the snoozy side, but not you guys!” Heidi joked.

But it was host Terry Crews who got the last word, just as he did back in season 14.

“We don’t need to go to the super fan vote on this one,” Terry said. “Mr. White, you have changed the lives of thousands of young men and women all over, for what you have done for the city of Detroit, for what you have done in this world, one Golden Buzzer! Is that enough?”

Watch the electrifying performance below, and be sure to share.
