And in the case of Sian Pattison, it required for her 10-year-old daughter to fill out the application form for her before she dared to perform in front of the judges on the popular ITV show.

The accounts manager, from Warwickshire, had explained at the start of the audition how it was her daughter’s idea for her to enter the programme, after Simon asked why she’d waited until now to audition.
She explained that the idea of auditioning ‘scares me a bit’, before adding ‘My daughter applied on my behalf’.
Her 10-year-old rushed onto the stage to giver her mum a hug following the emotional performance, which saw Sian sailing through to the next round after receiving a Yes from all four judges.
