She sang “I Will Always Love You” from the movie “The Bodyguard.” There are very few singers in existence who can measure up to the legendary diva Whitney Houston, who made this song so famous, but amazingly, this girl did.

Yuan Juan was so impressed that he stuck around to listen to her sing two more numbers. The singer appears to be a big fan of divas, as she followed up with another Houston hit, “Saving All My Love For You,” and “I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls. The power and beauty of the girl’s voice are unbelievable, so it’s no surprise he decided to make a video and upload it to YouTube. It went viral in no time and soon received more than 8 million views.

Everyone who watched her performance wanted to know who this incredibly talented young lady was. Luckily, she saw the video and came forward. She is Zendee Rose Tenerefe, and she was 21 years old at the time.

She had entered singing competitions in different locations in the Philippines and even moved to the capital, Manila, in the hopes of competing in the X Factor there. Sadly for her, she failed to make the cut to get onto the show.

Luckily for Zendee and the world, fate took a hand. After this video went viral, Warner Music Philippines offered her a recording contract. Since then, she has performed on the Ellen de Generes show, released an album, and has a YouTube channel with over half a million subscribers. It’s wonderful that in the world today, singing karaoke at the mall can change a person’s life.
