The British crooner is currently touring his Divide album Down Under, wowing stadium-sized crowds of his devoted Australian followers this month.
But Ed Sheeran made time for a special meeting with one young fan with cerebral palsy over the weekend.
In an emotional video posted by ABC News, nine-year-old Cal appeared overjoyed to meet his idol and even scored a hug from the Shape Of You hit-maker.

Cal, who is wheelchair-bound with cerebral palsy, travelled 800kms from Far West NSW to meet Ed.
The pop star happily signed Cal’s ukulele as the child beamed with excitement and wonder.
Communicating via his tablet, he said: ‘Hi, I’m Cal… It is awesome meeting you.’
Ed crouched down to the boy’s level, smiling as he responded: ‘It’s lovely to meet you too, Cal!’

Ed apparently told the boy he’d try his best.
The pair shared laughter and smiles, before Ed picked up the nine-year-old for a warm embrace outside of his wheelchair.

A huge number of Australian fans have snapped up tickets to see the flame-haired pop star perform while he’s touring the country.
With sales of more than one million tickets, Ed broke the previous record of 950,000 tickets held by Dire Straits since 1986.
