Saturday, July 8, the public is invited to an organ recital in memory of Ivar and Allene Lindstrom, who passed away in April and May of this year respectively.

Ivar and Allene Lindstrom moved to Los Alamos in 1958, where they raised their two children, leading very active lives, including flying, skiing and camping around the Southwest. The Lindstroms were active with the Pajarito Ski Club, and the Old-Timers Square Dance Club. As keen supporters of the Los Alamos Concert Association, they attended and enjoyed many concerts over the years.

Ivar was a lifelong member of the Los Alamos Choral Society and sang bass with the Lads of Enchantment. Allene was a member of the Los Alamos County Council from 1976 to 1978.

Per Ivar’s request, the family has organized an all-Bach pipe organ recital in their memory, to be performed by Dr. Margaret-Mary Sauppé at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. July 8. A light reception will follow. The public is welcome to this free event.
