The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker has filmed Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All for Disney+ and the series – available globally from May 3 – features interviews with his wife Cherry Seaborn.
In addition, the film also features interviews with British star Sheeran’s other loved ones, performance footage and even never-before-seen personal archive clips of the 32-year-old star. .

Ed Sheeran said: “I’ve always been very careful about my personal and private life, the only documentary I’ve ever made was one that focused on my writing.
Disney approached me to do a four-part documentary and I felt it was the right time to open the doors and let people in. I hope everyone will like it.”
A statement revealed that the series will follow Sheeran “after he learns life-changing news and reveals his struggles and triumphs during the most challenging period of his life”.
The 4 episodes are titled Love , Loss , Focus and Balance .
The first season features exclusive footage of Ed Sheeran’s childhood and how he and his late friend Jamal Edwards used the internet to launch their businesses, as well as the love story between the singer and his wife.
This includes Cherry receiving “life-changing news”, which is not explained in the synopsis but is likely related to Sheeran’s recent revelation that she was diagnosed with a tumor when is 10 months pregnant with their second child – Jupiter – who is now 10 months pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Lost episode includes footage of Sheeran’s Divide tour and highlights his network of close childhood friends, as well as his struggles following Jamal’s shocking death last year.
In the third episode – Focus – Cherry worries about Sheeran as he throws himself into work to distract himself from his grief after Jamal’s death as the show shows him devoting himself to his upcoming new album .

The final episode sees the couple reflect on how they manage the challenges of juggling a family when they spend so much time apart, with the Castle on the Hill hitmaker in the US promoting the tour his acting, as well as looking towards the future with a new outlook in life.
